Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has completed a successful surgery on his ankle at Leicester City.
The versatile defender suffered a fresh ankle injury during the build up to the FA Cup clash against Aston Villa last week.
It was first reported that the injury is not serious as feared as stated by manager Brandon Rodgers.
But according to fresh reports, the 25-year-old has undergone a successful surgery on the ankle hence has been taken off the market.
Amartey is a prime target for Championship side Fulham FC in the ongoing transfer window.
Leicester City are said to have held talks with the Ghanaian over the move which he agreed but the injury has put him back on the sidelines.
Amartey has not played a competitive senior match since breaking his ankle against West Ham 15 months ago.
