Dan De Van ITF Wheelchair Futures tourney set for 4th November

International Tennis Federation (ITF) through Ghana Wheelchair Tennis under the auspices of Ghana Tennis Federation with Dan DeVan Group of Companies as the local title sponsor will for the first time host the ITF Wheelchair Futures, dubbed 2018 ITF Dan DeVan ITF Wheelchair Futures Tournament.

The ITF Wheelchair Futures Tournament will be launched on Friday 4th Of May 2018 at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Court at 9m with a top-four tournament

The main event would be staged at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Courts on Monday, 5th to Thursday 8th November 2018.

The ITF Wheelchair Tennis Futures Tournament will be launched on Friday 4th May 2018 at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Court at 2:30pm and a Top 4 Wheelchair Tennis Men’s Tournament would be held at 9:00am to commensurate the Launch of the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Futures Tournament.

The Chief Executive Officer of Dan DeVan Group of Companies, Mr. Daniel Nii Mensah said, “his outfit was determined to develop Wheelchair Tennis for the local and international stages”.

Mr. Mensah further on said “Passion for the sport drove me to support Ghana Wheelchair Tennis to implement this ITF sanctioned International Tournament. My passion in sports is to build individual and nations. I want to be the lead sponsor of Wheelchair Tennis in Ghana and make sure that even international Wheelchair Tennis players come to play tennis in Ghana”.


“It’s a Privilege to be the local title sponsor to the maiden edition of ITF DanDeVan Wheelchair Tennis Futures Tournament and hope a Ghanaian wins the ITF Futures tourney come November 2018” Mr. Mensah added.

Events lined up for the launch, on Friday 4th May 2018, includes a round robin tournament for all Wheelchair Tennis Men players before four finalist will play top four tournament with a trophy at stake, after the launch of the ITF Wheelchair Futures Tournament, the will be Presentation of donated ITF funded Wheelchairs by Dan DeVan Group of Companies who cleared all ten (10) wheelchairs for free at the Tema Harbor for Ghana Wheelchair Tennis.
