DOL Kicks Off July 24

Mr Douglas Djarbeng, Chairman of the Division One League (DOL) Board, has indicated that all is now set for the smooth take-off of the nation?s second rated league on Saturday, July 24.

This, he said, followed the eventual declaration of the various regional division two champions which delayed the commencement of the league.

He urged newly-promoted clubs to indicate their venues for technical inspection to be carried out on them to determine their suitability or otherwise for DOL matches.

According to a statement signed by Mr Djarbeng, the league fixtures for the various zones will be released a week to kick-off of the competition.

It therefore reminded participating clubs to pay the affiliation and officating fees of ?100,000 and ?4m respectively by July 20 or face the risk of being declared losers in their matches until they settle those fees.

The statement also informed clubs about the availability of registration cards at the GFA Secretariat at ?30,000 per card.

?All clubs are urged to make this year?s Division One League even more successful by playing according to the tenets of fair play,? the statement concluded
