Cuban government to send boxing trainers to Ghana

Mahama Ayariga, Minister for Youth and Sports, has disclosed that, the Cuban government has agreed to send boxing trainers to Ghana to help in the development and promotion of the sport.

He disclosed this during a lunch meeting with Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamako World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Light Heavyweight champion.

According to the minister, they have concluded negotiations and after signing the agreement, the trainers will be sent to Ghana.

He said government will give serious considerations to the sports to enable it regain its glory in the world.

The popular boxer expressed appreciation to the minister for the opportunity and promised to help the ministry to realize their goals of developing boxing.
