Cosmos Dauda worried over goalless run

Hearts of Oak forward Cosmos Dauda has admitted concern over his goal drought in the ongoing 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season.

The former Tudu Mighty Jets striker has failed to replicate the scintillating form of 2015/16 where he scored 11 Premier League goals, finishing the season as the club's highest scorer.

But after eight games, the six-foot attacker has failed to find the back of the net and confessed to Class Sports the dry spell has got him worried but believes, like all circumstances, his goalless run will pass.

He said: "I'm very worried with the goal drought after enjoying a very wonderful 2015/16 season. I was looking to replicate that form but I haven't been able to as I hoped. Right now, I'm facing a lot of challenge by not scoring a single goal after eight matches.

"Though I know the drought is another phase of football, I'm worried but I'm treating the challenge positively and [remain] mentally focused. I'll bounce back to form."

Hearts’ next game is away to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
