Kumasi Cornerstone football club has appealed to the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to come out with its verdict on the protest it lodged against Gag Roos in their first division football league match at Tarkwa on August 19.
This was contained in a letter to the chairman of the disciplinary committee and signed by Sheik Abraham Antwi, Executive Chairman of Cornerstone in Kumasi on Monday. It said the committee sat on the protest on August 30 but it was surprising that the committee had not made public its findings on the protest.
The letter said Cornerstone protested against the fielding of Ibrahim Iddrisu, Kofi Ankrah and Evans Prah in the match in line with article 32 (a) and (b) of GFA regulations. It said the refusal by Gag Roos to register these three players for the 2001 football season was against the rules stated. Gag Roos won the match 2-0.
