Company takes up search for GPL sponsor

An unknown marketing company has taken up the responsibility of finding a headline sponsor for the Ghana Premier League (GPL), Sportscrusader understands.

The GPL is without a headline sponsor after First Capital Plus Bank, now Capital Bank suspended it’s sponsorship responsibilities last with claims that they are restructuring.

The financial institution decision to suspend its relationship with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) worsened the financial burden on an already financial stricken clubs, and the FA are on the market to secure a sponsor.

According to the Sportscrusader.com, some marketing companies are on the search to secure a sponsor. Sources added that the Executive Committee of the FA met one of the marketing companies in mid-week (Wednesday) to discuss the way forward.

The FA are certain of securing a sponsor before the second round of the season.
