Comoros coach Amir Abdou named only four home-based players in his 23-man squad to face Ghana in next week’s 2018 FIFA World Cup double qualifiers, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

With the exception of defender Chaker Alhadhur who plays for French Ligue 1 side Caen, 16 other foreign-based feature for lower division clubs in France.

Duo Fouad Bachirou and Mohamed Youssouf play for second-tier sides Ostersunds FK and Veria FC in Sweden and Greece respectively.

Defender Kassim Abdallah is teammate of Ghana’s Jonathan Mensah who has also been invited by the Black Stars.

Les Cœlacanthes are without captain Nadjim Abdou who has been sidelined for two months due to injury.

Also unavailable are Olympiacos FC striker Mohamed Ben El Fardou and defender Salim Mramboini.
