Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has praised Comoros for their tactical discipline in Fridays 0-0 draw in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars were reduced to creating scoring chances in the second qualifying round first leg tie at the Stade de Mitsamiouli.

Comoros, ranked 177th in the world, were no pushovers as they turned the screws on the visitors in front a capacity crowd.

It is advantage the Islanders ahead of the return leg clash on Tuesday in Kumasi.

Gyan, who made a cameo in the barren draw, lauded Comoros for their compact play.

It doesnt matter where they play but what matters is the way they were disciplined on the pitch. The team shape was all right, Gyan said.

We were more compact- everybody was behind the ball and they were relying on counterattacks which really helped their game plan.

Honestly they were disciplined on the field. They knew what could happen against them playing Ghana so everything worked for them.
