'Come to Italy' - Agyemang Badu tells Dede

Andre Dede Ayew Andre Dede Ayew

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has no doubt whatsoever that international teammate, Andre Ayew will be a success in Italy should the 25-year-old sign for a Serie A club.

Free agent Ayew has left Marseille due to the imminent expiration of his contract with the club where he began his career.

The son of Abedi Pele has been linked with a host of top clubs in England, Germany and Italy with Serie A giants, Roma reportedly leading the chase for his signature even though talks appear to have broken down over monetary demands.

Reports this morning suggest English Premiership side, West Ham could seal a deal with Ayew this week with former West Ham, Tottenham and QPR also tweeting that the Ghanaian is Swansea City bound, but Agyemang Badu is adamant Italy will be a very suitable destination for Dede.

No one can know the qualities of Ayew better than Agyemang Badu who has played international football alongside Dede from the U-20s right up to the Black Stars where the duo have played in two FIFA World Cups as well as two Africa Cup of Nations grand finales together.

The Udinese midfield enforcer believes the hardworking Ayew will make the grade should any Serie A side strike a deal, with Inter Milan also apparently interested in the Black Stars playmaker.

“Andre is a solid player and can adapt to Roma once he’s signed,” Agyemang Badu told Italian media outfit, Tutto Mercato Web.

“I know you will do well in Italy,” the 24-year-old Udinese midfielder added.
