Coca-Cola Medal Golf on June 27

The Celebrity Coca-Cola Monthly Medal Open Golf Championship tee-off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, June 27.

Francis Akwasi Poku, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who disclosed this at Tema on Monday, said about 120 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-HJole Medal Play.

He said the competition which is being sponsored by The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited, would be played under the rules of the World’s Golf governing body and the local rules of the Celebrity Golf Club.

Akwasi Poku said golfers from Tema, Achimota, Bok Nam Kim and the host club have been invited for the monthly competition.

Joe Ampofo, Joe Ohemeng, Abdul Azziz-Amankwa, Esther Antwi, Joy Arkutu and Helen Appah are expected to participate in the competition which is aimed at sharpening the strokes of participants for a major competition.

There would be prizes for “Longest Drive” and “Nearest to the Pin”; as well as birdie, which is sponsored by Holiday Inn Hotel.
