Coca Cola Ghana Limited gives to GHALCA

Accra, Oct. 12, GNA - Soft drinks giant company, Coca Cola Company Limited has donated 60 cartons of its products to the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) in support of this years' awards ceremony for outstanding players in the just ended Top Four Tournament. The company also donated 700 tickets to participants of the tournament to witness the 2010 World Trophy, which will be on a two day tour to Ghana from October 14-16.

Asenath Commey, Marketing Manager of Coca Cola Company Limited who made the donation, said it is in recognition of the efforts of the players to showcase the sport in the tournament. She added that it is expected that the donation will bring out the best in players in future competitions. Maddam Commey said the donation is also to identify the product with football since the product is a brand for sports. She commended officials of GHALCA for organizing the competition, which she said is a good platform for nurturing soccer talents. Emannuel Adotey, Chairman of GHALCA expressed appreciation to the company for its donation. He said the history of the tournament cannot be written without the contribution of Coca Cola Company. The GHALCA Chairman appealed to the company to return to the competition as the major sponsors next year. GHALCA will on Wednesday confer honours on outstanding players in the just ended Top Four Tournament at the plush Mensvic Grand Hotel, East Legon. 12 Oct. 09
