A good number of players have shown enough promise in the National Juvenile competition put together by the Ghana Football Association.
Education and Development officer, Francis Oti Akenteng says the technical team in charge of scouting at the competition are excited with the talent coming through from the zonal competition.
There's been a great number of talents emerging as Akenteng, Ben Koufie and Mohammed Polo look through for a new generation of players.
With the nationwide tournament stopping in the Greater Accra Region this weekend for the final regional competition, the GFA Education and Development officer says the Airtel-sponsored event was already paying dividends.
“It is an interesting tournament and the raw talents we have seen are quiet impressive," Oti Akenteng said.
“These players are our future and it is very important to spot them at this very age so that they can be developed well.
“This is what this project is all about.”
The tournament which kicked off two weeks ago is being played by boys under the age 15 category.
After the zonal phase, regional teams will be selected from all the teams that played in the zonal championship to represent each region in the national tournament.
