There is pressure off Yaw Preko after guiding FC Ifeanyiubah to beat Remo Stars 3-0 on Wednesday in the Nigerian Premier League.

Preko handed Brazilian Alberico da Silva his first start of the season with Blaise, Tony Msonter and Tamen Medrano being the only players to make the startlist for the Anambra Warriors from the team that draw 2-2 with Abia Warriors on Sunday.

The first half was well contested and the two teams could not produce any goals.

Eight minutes after the restart, Obaje converted from the spot for FC Ifeanyiubah after Remo Stars' Ekene Awazie handled the ball in his penalty area and that set the tone for two more to come.

On 55 minutes Jimoh Oni scored but the referee correctly ruled out for offside.

Then FC Ifeanyiubah really left it late to secure the contest and the points as Blaise popped up to head home Alberico's cross for the second goal of the game.

In stoppage time of the second half Obaje got his second of the game after Alberico's pass was cushioned with the head by Aniyikaye to the path of the striker who made no error in finishing past Remo Stars goalkeeper Chizoba Ndukwe.

The win lifts FC Ifeanyiubah out of the bottom-four into 13th place with 14 points from 11 matches while Remo Stars remain at the base of the NPFL standings.
