Former coach of Sekondi Eleven Wise, Nana Agyemang, says he wants the club to be relegated to the third tier of Ghana’s football to serve as a wake-up call for administrators and supporters of the club who are largely to be blamed for the dwindling fortunes of the club.
Eleven Wise currently occupy bottom spot in Zone 2 of the 2016/17 GN Bank Division One having accumulated 16 points and are bound for relegation. Management of the club has planned to raise an amount of 36,000 to help the team avoid relegation.
But according to the ace sports journalist raising money to salvage the club’s misfortune is a total waste of time and money.

“The problem is with the environs and the indigenes who got their love for Eleven Wise a bit twisted, they are just thinking about one team and not the club and that is the biggest problem.
“Many of them hang on to Eleven Wise as a means of making money from the game but that is not what football is all about.
“And since the time I left seven years ago, there are not many people who can run a successful club like Sekondi Eleven Wise if any…, as numerous of them have fallen short of the glory, ” Agyemang stated.
He added: “It is time Eleven Wise went back to the division two, then I think people will sit up and smell the coffee. They will then sit up and realize that is not all about developing the team and selfish interest but it’s about developing Eleven Wise as a club,” Agyemang noted.
