Coach JE Sarpong secures job

The tactician has finally returned to the dugout having been engaged by the third-tier side

Coach JE Sarpong has been appointed as the head coach of Second Division Club Emmanuel FC, Kickgh.com understands.

The ex-Ebusua Dwarfs' gaffer has been tasked to qualify the Accra-based lower-tier side to the country's First Division League competition next season.

Reports were rife in the local media recently that the experienced tactician has called time on his coaching career, but the tough-talking manager vehemently rejected the reports.

However, a source close to the Second Division side has told us that the veteran coach has landed himself a coaching job with the Capital-based club.

''JE Sarpong is currently with Emmanuel FC. He has been training with us for some couple of weeks ahead of the start of the Second Division League next season,'' he told Kickgh.com

''We're going to give him an ample time to prepare our charges very well as we hope to secure qualification to the First Division League come this season,'' added the club's insider.

JE Sarpong was sacked by Ebusua Dwarfs following an abysmal first round performance in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League campaign.
