Ghana’s talented midfielder Christian Atsu is nearing full injury recovery in Portugal.
Atsu suffered an ankle sprain a fortnight ago in a league game ruling him out of the Ghana - Sudan 2014 World Cup qualifier last Sunday.
The winger, who has made 14 appearances for FC Porto with a goal in his name, is being monitored closely by the Dragons’ medical team.
Strong signals picked up from the camp of the Portuguese side indicate the Ghanaian has began slight training in the gym and could be on his feet earlier than predicted.
Atsu will not be available for Porto’s game against Academica this Saturday.
