Chibsah set to inspire Frosinone against Cagliari

Frosinone midfielder Raman Chibsah would be hoping to bounce back strongly against Cagliari in the Italian Serie A when the two sides lock horns in the Italian Serie A.

Coming on the back of a 3-0 defeat against giants Inter Milan that further deepened their woes at the San Siro last Saturday, the newly promoted side would be desperate to get to get back to winning ways at home, having gone four good games without defeat prior to the match against Internazionale.

So much would however, count on the performance their Ghanaian midfielder Chibsah, whose consistency this season saw him emerge as the club’s brightest spot in their defeat to Inter on match day 13 of the 2018/19 season.

The 25yr old is confident they can have their way this weekend against the side from the Italian Island of Sardinia.

He told classfmonline, “I feel very inspired going into this game on Sunday just as my teammates, and I hope that the confidence we feel even after our defeat in the last game, will transform into positive things for us on the field. We played very well in the game against Inter Milan, but we missed a few opportunities that could have changed the course of the game. Hopefully we can do better on Sunday.”

The Lazio based side make a return to their almost 17,000 capacity Stadio Benito Stirpe where they have not lost since the 1-2 defeat at the hands of Genoa about two months ago, and, the powerful Ghanaian affectionately called ‘Chibs’ amongst his teammates is confident their fans can help establish a certain hegemony at their own backyard.

“Our fans are very vocal and very loyal to the cause. We appreciate them for all that they have done for the playing body so far, although results haven’t always been the best. I will urge them to continue pushing us especially at home, and hopefully we will be able build some sustained dominance in our home matches which will do us a lot of good for the rest of the season.” He opined.

A win for Frosinone will place them to within just three points of safety, should Bologna and Empoli both drop points on Saturday.

Frosinone versus Cagliari kicks off on Sunday at 14:00 GMT.
