Chelsea beat Ashgold to make football winner,

* not for ‘Brongman Nkosuo’ *

Berekum Chelsea and their entire staff led by enthusiastic CEO, Nana Obed Kwame Nketia deserves to be given a fair play award for truly and fairly beating Ashgold last Wednesday to stop them from emerging the league winners.

In these days when the Ghanaian league is dominated by allegations of match fixing and corruption, the Chelsea management could have decided to enrich themselves by fixing the match in favour of Ashgold.

Buut the leader of the team, Nana Kwame Nketiah, out of sincerity and the good heart that he has for the development of Brong Ahafo football, unselfishly made a football a winner and cushion the maturity of fair play.

Chelsea beat Ashgold to promote professionalism and fair play in our league. ''The league must be won on merit,'' says Nana Kwame.

He adds that the position of Chelsea on the league table compared to last season was uncharateristic of their great team so there was the need to push themselves up a little bit to boost their moral ahead of next season. “Everything that start spoorly must end successfully,” the Chelsea CEO said, why they beat Ashgold to end their season well.

Reports indicate that Mr. Nketiah has since paid a winning bonus of 350 Ghana Cedis to each of the players.

Even at a certain stage when the game was getting to an end without a goal, as serious Chairman, Nana Nketiah stood by the sidelines, called his strikers to promise 2,000 Ghana Cedis to anyone who score. It apparently gingered them and within that moment Eric Opoku scored.

The entire Brong Ahafo people are congratulating them for the feat and have hailed Chelsea as true kingmakers.

ln a related development, the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister Hon.Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo has aso sent a congratulatory message to Aduana Stars and other stakeholders who helped win the league for Aduana. He has promised to also celebrate with a massive party for the club soon.
