Charles Taylor shocked, wants Muntari to apologise over attack

Ex-Ghana midfielder Charles Taylor was shocked to have heard that Sulley Muntari punched a Ghana FA management member in the Black Stars camp insisting the AC Milan player must apologise to Moses Armah despite his riches.

The former Hearts of Oak play-maker has apologised to Armah over the incident and called on the AC Milan star player to also issue his grovelling apology to the powerful club owner.

The bankroller of Medeama Sporting Club was punched twice in the face by Muntari during a meeting over the Black Stars appearance fees at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

This led to the sacking of Muntari from the Black Stars camp but Taylor who played youth football with Muntari says the incident was shocking.

“I have never seen such a thing ever since I started playing and played for the national team. Looking at what happened, it was shocking for a player to slap an official,” Taylor said.

“I respect Moses Parker simply because he is one person who is investing in football by changing the lives of a lot of people. Regardless of Sulley’s money, Sulley should have respected Parker.

“It was never good for Sulley to have raised his hand on Parker. We plead on Sulley’s behalf and call on him again to come out and apologize to Parker”, Charles Taylor said.
