Celebrity Medal Golf tees off on December 5

Tema, Nov. 25, GNA-The December Medal Open Golf Championship of the Celebrity Golf Club, tees of at Sakumono, near Tema on Friday, December 5.

Mr Ato Endmann, General Manager of the Celebrity Golf Club, who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event, which was open to amateur golfers, was being sponsored by the Celebrity Club.

He said the event, even though a club affair, invitation had been extended to sister clubs in the Greater Accra Region to participate. The General Manager said about 100 participants was expected to participate in the event, which would be play in accordance with the local rules of the Celebrity Golf Club. He named some of the golfers expected to participate in the competition as Abdul Aziz-Amankwah, Joe Ampofo, Joe Ohemeng, Alex Acheampong and Akwasi Opoku, all of the Celebrity Golf Club. Mona Myers-Lamptey, Clara Price, Grace Afriyie and Florence Etwi-Barimah would battle each other in the Ladies category.
