Ghana striker Caleb Ekuban could be handed a starting berth for Trabzonspor when they play Çaykur Rizespor in the Turkish Supalig today.

After missing several games through injury, Ekuban emerged from the bench to register an assist for Alexander Sorlorth in their 2-2 draw with Besiktas.

The 25-year-old could make the side’s starting line-up when they host Çaykur Rizespor on Saturday.

The Ghana international is in line to replace Daniel Sturridge and Anthony Nwakaeme in the starting line up.

The pair did not partake in the team’s training throughout the week due to injuries.

It is reported that Ekuban has worked hard in training during that period and could be drafted into the starting line up for the match.

Ekuban has netted 6 goals and provided 2 assists in 20 games in all competitions for the club this term.
