Berekum Chelsea CEO, Nana Kwame Nketiah, has ruled out striker Saddick Adams’ transfer to Accra Hearts of Oak or Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the second round of the Ghana top-flight.
Nketiah, who has priced the goal poacher GH¢150,000, has prevented the two most glamorous clubs from getting the signature of the 26-year-old.
Adams steered the Berekum-based club to the seventh position on the Premier League log with 17 points, hoping to fire his team to be title contenders and Nketiah believes the striker is not for the local scene.
“The player is not moving anywhere because no team in Ghana met the outright buying clause of GH¢150,000. Hearts and Kotoko offered GH¢100,000 each with Aduana offering the highest of GH¢120,000, but anything less will not help the club [Chelsea] as a whole so for now he is our property,” he told Starr Sports.
The ex-Atletico Madrid goal poacher has scored six goals since he joined the former league champions to re-launch his career after world football body (FIFA) banned the striker for abandoning his contract at Tunisian outfit Etoile du Sahel to sign for Atletico Madrid.
