German side Wolfsburg have lined up CK Akunnor as their scout in Ghana to keep tabs on the country’s emerging talents.
The 38-year-old enjoyed a terrific five-year spell at the German Bundesliga outfit between 1998-2003 where he was handed the captain’s armband for his work ethics.
The ex- Hearts of Oak trainer has confirmed he’s in talks with his former club for a scouting role.
“There are lots of things in the pipeline for me. I am in talks with Wolfsburg and very soon I could be appointed their new scout in Ghana,” Akunnor told Radio XYZ
“We have to wait and see how it goes in the coming weeks. We’ve been talking and it’s been fruitful so far.
“I miss being on the touchline and will be exciting to be involved in the area of tapping young talents.”
The former Black Stars captain will be required to travel across the country in search of the finest footballing talents for the German top-flight side.
