CK Akunnor confirms Dreams FC exit

CK Akunnor has returned to Dreams FC but will not coach the promoted side in the Ghana Premier League next season.

The ex-Ghana captain has returned from a trip abroad where he went for a knowledge-sharing trip to some top clubs.

Akunnor was at his former club Wolfsburg in Germany, Tottenham Hotspur and Glasgow Celtic where he interacted with managers Mauricio Pochetino and Brendan Rodgers.

''It is true that I am joining Dreams FC again but in a different capacity and not as a coach,'' Akunnor told the Graphic Sports.

''At Dreams, we are one big family so I will go back but I will be working from the background because I still have a contract with AshantiGold and I cherish that family too so I will continue to be with them till my contract ends.''

Akunnor earned rave reviews after guiding his former club AshantiGold to safety.
