CHAN 2018: GFA to file protest against Burkina Faso

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is expected to file a protest to the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) after Burkina Faso allegedly fielded an ineligible player during the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier.

The Black Stars B were denied qualification to the 2018 CHAN after the Stallions edge past them 4-3 on aggregate to book a spot at next year’s final in Kenya.

Information gathered by Ghanacrusader.com indicates that, there was a foreign based player in the Burkinabe squad which goes contrary to the rules of the competition meant for only locally based players.
