CEPS emerges SESSA Hockey Champions

Accra, Oct. 25, GNA - Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) whacked Ghana Police Service 4-1 in the finals of the hockey competition to win this year's Security Services Sports Association (SESSA) Games played at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Pitch in Accra on Thursday. It was Charles Moses who put CEPS on the winning spree when he opened the scores from a penalty stroke in the first minute. Ebenezer Arthur increased the tally to 2-0 five minutes later after receiving a good pass from the left frank.

CEPS continued with their winning spree when Francis Antwi scored the third goal in the 10th minute before Francis Ackah pulled a face saving goal for Police in the 25th minute but Moses was on hand again to make victory certain for CEPS when he scored the fourth goal in the 27th minute. In another match, Ghana Prisons beat Ghana Armed Forces 3-2 to take the third position while CEPS Women also beat their Prison Service counterparts 1-0 to lift the Women's trophy.
