CAF outlines accreditation procedure for 2013 Africa Cup of Nations

Accra, Aug. 1, GNA – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has outlined details of the media accreditation process for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

A statement from the continent’s soccer governing body copied to GNA Sports said the process will coincide with the official draw of the tournament fixed for October 26 in Durban, South Africa.

According to CAF, media personnel interested in attending the balloting of the 16 teams for the final tournament are to apply via the CAF Media Channel between August 27 and October 1, 2012.

Meanwhile, for the final tournament scheduled for January 19 to February 10, 2013, the international media are advised to apply for Media Accreditation between September 1 to November 7, also via the CAF Media Channel.

It excludes media personnel from the host country, South Africa, who must contact the Local Organising Committee in that regard.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play their Malawian counterparts in a two-legged encounter, with the winner qualifying for the final tournament.
