English Premier League side, Burnley are weighing up an offer for Lorient forward Majeed Waris after being rebuffed over moves for Chris Wood and Sam Clucas.

Waris scored nine Ligue 1 goals last season but was unable to keep Lorient from relegation and will move on from the French club this summer.

Lorient are holding out for £10million but Burnley would want to pay closer to £8m for the 25-year-old player, who can operate on the wing or up front.

Burnley have also made an £11.8m offer for Deportivo La Coruna’s Romanian striker Florin Andone. The 24-year-old scored 12 La Liga goals last season.

Sean Dyche would prefer to sign players with experience of English football but Leeds and Hull are at present pricing Burnley out of approaches for Wood and Clucas.
