British-born Ghanaian striker Daniel Agyei is hoping for more first-team opportunities at Burnley after extending his contract with the English Premier League side.
The 20-year-old signed a new contract, Wednesday, keeping him at the club for the next 12 months.
“I’m delighted to be staying,” he said.
“Hopefully I can come back next season and kick on and try and push for a place in the team.”
Agyei signed for Burnley in 2015 and made his debut for the Clarets against Liverpool last season - one of his three appearances for the club.
He has been loaned three times. First to Coventry City where he made 16 appearances and scored four goals.
The 20-year-old was then farmed out to Walsall. He netted four strikes in 18 appearances for the League One outfit.
His third loan spell at Blackpool will end this season. He has played nine games with no goal.
