Accra, Sept. 14, GNA - The local Black Stars will face the Stallions of Burkina Faso in the qualifiers for the second edition of the African Nation Championship (CHAN) in 2011.
Three places are allotted Zone West 'B' for the second edition of the tournament designed exclusively for footballers plying their trade in their country of birth.
Six countries including Ghana will engage in the qualifiers. The others are Cote d'Ivoire - hosts of the maiden edition last March, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo.

Egypt last Friday revealed that the first leg will take place in Ouagadougou between March 12 and March 14, 2010. Ghana will host the second leg on the weekend of March 26 to March 28, 2010. The winner of the two-legged encounter automatically qualifies for the tourney to be hosted in Sudan in 2011.
The second edition of the latest competition on the African football calendar will have 16 teams, a major improvement on the eight that
participated in the maiden edition. The Black Stars lost to the Leopards of DR Congo in the finals of the maiden edition held in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire last March.
