Breaking News: Ghana names strong starting line-up

Ghana has named an ultra-defensive starting line-up to face Ivory Coast with talented star Joel Fameyeh as the lone striker for Friday afternoon’s second-leg of the final qualifiers for the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Abidjan.

Local Black Stars head coach Maxwell Konadu has lined up a strong side to face the Local Elephants of Cote d’Iviore in the 2016 CHAN qualifier at the Robert-Champroux Sports Stadium in Abidjan this afternoon.

Maxwell has reverted to a more defensive approach to the game, playing the 4:2:3:1 system with Baba Mensah and Sarbahn Laryer playing the midfield role while Daniel Darkwah, Kennedy Ashia and Samuel Tetteh take up the attacking midfield role.

The team will be protected at the back by Godfred Saka, Tijani Joshua, Abeiku Ainooson and Lawrence Lartey while Richard Ofori takes the post.

Joel Fameyeh will lead the attack.
