Boxing: Odumasi & Tackie Lose

Waterfront Hall, Belfast - Glasgow's Scott Harrison retained his Commonwealth featherweight title with a sensational last-round stoppage of Ghana's Eric Odumassi in the build-up to the Lennox Lewis/David Tua fight.
After a titanic struggle, Harrison produced a superb left hook which sent Odumassi crashing to the canvas.
And, while the Ghanaian managed to beat the count, referee Richie Davies called a halt after 31 seconds of the 12th round.

LAS VEGAS –– In a 10-round fight, former two-time IBF junior lightweight champion John-John Molina pounded out a split decision over Ben Tackie of Ghana.
Molina (52-6) threw punches from all angles from the opening bell, though he never seemed to hurt Tackie and never knocked him down. Tackie (21-2) spent much of the fight trying to land a big punch of his own, but was simply outboxed by the 35-year-old Molina, 139?.
Tackie, 139, was favored 96-94 on one scorecard, while the other two judges had Molina winning, 97-93.
