French side Bordeaux are interested in signing Ghanaian defender Enock Kwarteng.

The 21-year-old is being courted after quitting Nantes, four months before his contract expired.

The club's new US investors GACP are determined to build a crack team capable of competing for laurels at the top level.

And they have identified the versatile former French youth star as one of the rising youngsters for the dream project.

Bordeaux Sporting director Eduardo Macia wants versatile players like Kwarteng to help the project become a reality.

Create a strong team that will keep a high level of performance, without high and low. More than this or that position, the crucial point is to increase the general level and to have a group capable of staying consistent.

"I like the versatile players who can occupy several positions according to the systems, which include football." he said in reference to Kwarteng.

The Ghanaian is a France youth international having represented the country from U16 to U20 levels.

Kwarteng made his Ligue 1 debut on 15 August 2015 against Angers SCO in a 0–0 draw replacing Olivier Veigneau after 79 minutes

Of Ghanaian descent Kwarteng won the European U-19 in 2016 with the generation of Paris St-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

He has also represented the European country at the U17, U18, U19, and U20 levels

Kwarteng has played just a game for Nantes this season, inspiring The Canaries to a 2-1 away win over Strasbourg.
