Ex-Hearts midfielder Joseph Tagoe is reported to be nurturing an ambition to pursue a career in acting after retiring from the game.

The pocket-size midfielder wants to trade the football pitch with the big screen amid the obvious criticism that awaits him, media reports in Ghana have claimed.

The gifted midfielder, nicknamed ‘Bobby Short’ is determined to crack Ghallywood after releasing several hilarious teasers on social networking site facebook.

The former Great Olympics midfielder has issued ‘come and get me plea’ to movie producers and directors as he winds down on his footballing career.

Tagoe joined Hearts in 2005 but struggled to explode amid a career punctuated with several controversies.

He jumped ship to join Nigerian side Sharks FC but again failed to shine in Africa’s most populous nation, leading to his return to his native country.

It appears the wizardly midfielder, who is the brother of Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel Tagoe, has called time on his career after exchanging the boots for the big screen.
