Boateng doesn't want to stay here - Ramos

Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk head coach Juande Ramos has openly discussed his frustration about Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng.

Boateng was absent from the Dnipro team for the first time since the Ukranian league started and reports in Ukraine suggested he had food poisoning, but after Dnipro's 2-0 win over Metalurh Donetsk, Ramos came out with the truth on Boateng’s absence.

“At the moment, the Ghanaian midfielder has a contract with Dnipro, for which he receives a very respectable money, but the player at the same time declares that he would not stay here”.

Juande Ramos also said that as long as the player and the club will not solve this problem, he could not count 100 percent on him and cannot let him play.

Derek Boateng has since January been linked with a move to the English Premiership sides Fulham and West Brom Albion and it looks like the player is angling for a move elsewhere.

Boateng has also been the subject of racist abuse and that could also be the reason why the player’s head has turned.
