Blame clubs for destroying league – Willie Klutse

Former Ghana Black Stars player, Willie Klutse has pointed a finger at Ghana premier clubs for negatively affecting the game with unnecessary legal wranglings that tend to delay and dent the beautiful game.

The Ghana premier league 2015/16 season finally kicked off on February 20 after been delayed with litigation matters involving bribery and match-fixing allegations between Techiman city and Wa Africa united and the other case related to the fielding of an ineligible player between Dreams FC and Tema Youth.

Willie Klutse who is the technical director of premier league club, Inter Allies admits the clubs have themselves to blame with the needless delay the league faces each season due to affected sides refusing to accept the verdict on a rule and regulation that was passed by the clubs themselves.

In an interview with sportscrusader.com, Klutse said, “it is not too good for our game as we the clubs go for congress and meetings to make and amend the rules and regulations that governs our league and when it is applied because we erred we tend to blame people for it.”

He added, “if we want to play the game the way it is then we have got to be fair to ourselves and when we agree and pass the laws we must be ready to defend it if not we will destroy the beautiful league and at the end of the day who do we blame. There are some people calling themselves ‘football people’ but I don’t think at the end of the day this is what they want to portray – bringing in litigation.
