The Black Stars will begin their preparations for the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Mauritius today at the Accra Sports stadium.

The Stars will be led by assistant coach Maxwell Konadu for what is expected to be a light shake up before the arrival of head coach head coach Avram Grant on Saturday.

Coach Avram Grant has named four home based players in the team for the first time with a big return for experienced goalkeeper Fatau Dauda and a debut call up for Kadiri Mohammed.

Atletico Madrid energetic midfielder Thomas Partey has also been named in the team for the first time as well as Kazakhstan based striker Patrick Twumasi who recently played in the champions League with Astana.

Today's training session will be non-residential but the entire squad is expected to assemble by Monday when training will be intensified.
