The Black Stars returned to training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 5, 2025, as preparations intensified for their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Mali.

Ghana is back home after Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Chad in N’Djamena, where Jordan Ayew’s 17th-minute strike was cancelled out by a late 90th-minute equaliser at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno.

Despite the setback, Otto Addo’s men remain top of Group I with 16 points, three points ahead of second-placed Madagascar and four clear of Mali, who sit third after seven matchdays in the African qualifiers.

Friday’s training session was scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Accra Sports Stadium and was open to both the media and the public.
