Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, believes there is still room for improvement for the Black Stars despite the team's inconsistent performance.
Citing Ghana's failure to qualify for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, the Minister confessed that he isn't impressed with what he has seen from the team so far.
"Very soon, AFCON will start in Morocco. Is Ghana going to be there? No," he told Citi FM.
"We have not qualified for the World Cup yet, so if I tell you that I am impressed, then it means that I don't know my job. I am not; There is a lot of room for improvement," Adams added.
Ghana finished at the bottom of its group after playing six games in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
However, the team has turned things around by strengthening its lead to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup scheduled for next year in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The Black Stars will wrap up their qualifiers in October 2025 with games against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
