Head Coach of the Black Satellites of Ghana Jimmy Coblah is confident of qualifying for the Africa Youth Champions in Niger 2019 after beating Algeria to set up a tie with Benin in the final round of qualifiers.

Ghana defeated the Young Fennec Warriors of Algeria 2-0 in Cape Coast on Sunday in the penultimate stage of the qualifiers. Midfielders Mohammed Kudus and Ibrahim Sadiq scored for the Black Satellites who qualified 2-0 on aggregate after a goalless first leg in Algiers.

They now face West African neighbours Benin who beat the Gambia. Following the victory on Sunday Coach Jimmy Coblah indicated his team is good enough to eliminate Benin.

"You may see almost the same thing when he face Benin," he said confidently after the game. "We will have our 4-3-3 game," he added.

"Our defence is tight, our midfield is very compact so that we can protect out defence for them to protect our goal. In football there are always corrections to be taken care off . We've seen what they did in defence. You saw us shouting through out the game making sure they get on their toes."

"And so in all departments we are going to work so we keep fit."

The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Champions failed to qualify for the 2017 edition of the Africa Youth Championship and have Benin to beat to reach the competition in Niger next year.
