Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed delight with his side's emphatic win over Togo in an Africa Under 23 qualifier.
Ghana defeated Togo 5-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday in the first leg of their qualifier.
A hat-trick from Spain-based striker Kwabena Owusu and other goals from Yakubu Nasama and Bukari Osman gave coach Ibrahim Tanko's side the win.
"We are very delighted with the win because the first half was very difficult, they made it difficult for us but we were able to make it happen," he said
"The changes made in the second half paid off and you could see all the players gave their best.
"What we have to do now is go there and get a result that will see us through to the next stage of the qualifiers."
The result gives Black Meteors a huge advantage ahead of the second leg in Lome on Saturday.
Winner of this tie will face Gabon in the next round of the qualifiers for the next year's competition in Egypt.
