Bernard Tekpetey's lone strike gives Schalke win over Neftci Baku

Ghana striker Bernard Tekpetey scored the only goal for Schalke 04 in their pre-season friendly victory over Neftci Baku in Mittersil, Austria on Wednesday.

Tekpetey, who is reported to be a target for Hamburg SV in the ongoing summer transfer window, got the only goal for his side in the 27th minute against the Azabaijan top flight outfit.

The win was Schalke's four wins out five and one draw in pre-season friendly matches.

The 19-year-old is expected to fight for a starting berth under new coach Domenico Tedesco in the upcoming season.

He made two Bundesliga appearances last season in addition to a 90-minute outing in a 2-0 triumph over Nice in the Europa League.
