Ghana midfielder Bernard Kumordzi has returned to action for Belgian side Genk after a year of being on the sidelines with a broken leg.

The Genk midfielder made a comeback before the winter break when he came from the bench to play in the side’s game with Sint -Truiden.

The Ghanaian believes that by the time the team returns from the winter break, he will be fully fit for the rest of the season for the Belgium top flight side.

Kumordzi, 31 says he is finally as good as fit after making the comeback that friendly encounter for his side. "I'm very close to realizing full fitness now. I feel no pain.” The former Black Stars midfielder added that even though he would wish to have enough playing time, his consistent team play depends on the technical staff. “That does not mean that I will right away be in the team. It is a decision of the technical staff, " he added.

“It’s been more than a year on the sidelines and I will obviously be worried.”
