Bepong Methodist wins Zone Four Milo under 13

Bepong Methodist Primary School thrashed Bawaleshie Presbyterian Primary School 5-0 to win the Milo under 13 Zone Four championship final match in Koforidua at the weekend.

The first half ended with Bepong school leading by three goals to nil and they added two goals in the second half to seal the victory.

Bepong Methodist Primary School topped the schools from Eastern and Volta Regions while Bawaleshie Presbyterian Primary School topping schools from Greater Accra group for the two top teams to meet at the finals of the tournament.

Bepong Methodist Primary School, Bawaleshie Presbyterian Primary School and Comboni R/C Primary School qualified to play in the national under 13 Milo Championship slated for Kumasi from July 9 to July 11.

All the participating teams took away Milo products and footballs, while the first three teams of the tournament were given an undisclosed amount of money each.

Awuah Ernest of Bepong Methodist School was adjudged the best player of the tournament while the goal king went to Afriyie Bernard of Bepong Methodist School who scored four goals.

Mahadi Mohammed of Abeka '3' Primary School was adjudged the best defender and the best goalkeeper went to Dekpor Osei Kuffour of Comboni R/C School.

Ms Marilyn Ofori, Eastern Regional Branch Manager of Nestle Ghana, congratulated all the participating teams for showing good sportsmanship and urged the teams that have qualified to represent their regions to take advantage of the opportunity given them.
