Gyan in Rennes for medical

According to Football365.co.za, Asamoah Gyan arrived in France on Wednesday to complete a move to French club Rennes.

The 22-year-old, who plays for Italian club Udinese, will undergo a medical test as the two clubs try to reach an agreement over his transfer fee.

"I am in France at the moment and hopefully things can go smoothly for me to sign the deal," Gyan said.

Even though the clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee, Rennes coach Pierre Dréossi says the major hurdle in the transfer has been sorted.

"There are some small details still to be ironed out over the transfer of the Ghana striker," Dreossi said.

"It is not a major hurdle that can prevent the transfer from happening."

Gyan is expected to pass the medical even though he has just recovered from injury and a deal could be announced as soon as Thursday
