Belgium Pro league side Anderlecht are set to honour Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey as legend of the club.
The mercurial midfielder served Anderlecht between the period of 1990-1995, where he played 30 games and scored nine [9] goals.
Due to the indelible mark Odartey Lamptey left at the club during his five (5) years spell, the Purple & Whiteside have decided to celebrate him in their last league home game of the season with the fans.
In a letter dated 29th April, 2019 and addressed to Mr. Nii Odartey Lamptey and signed by the Public affairs officer of RSC Anderlecht, David Steegen sighted by SportsworldGhana.com read “We are extremely honoured to invite you to attend the last home game of the season.
The letter added “As a former player and legend of the club, we are happy to celebrate you on the pitch before the game with the fans of RSC Anderlecht”
As part of the program, the glow lamp soccer academy founder NOL is expected to have dinner with another club legend Lorenzo Staelens before the game and a VIP drink after the game.
However, the ex-Ghana international, reacting to the invitation, said is humbled by the news and will honour it when the time is due.
Lamptey, made 38 caps for the senior national team, the Black Stars and netted 8 eight goals.
