Bayern Munich young striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt has declared his decision to play for Ghana.

The striker has finally pledged his allegiance to his native country despite spending his time in the European Nation.

“I made consultations with my parents and I think I am more inclined to Ghana than Germany. I was born here and I have stayed here all my life but I see myself as a Kumasi boy,” he told Sports Journalist Saddick Adams.

“I am a Mampong blood so I choose Ghana. It will be a dream come true. I have always wanted to be in Ghana jersey”.

Wriedt, born in Germany to Ghanaian parents, was in the German Youth Team and is being courted by the German Football Federation. Wreidt has scored 70 goals in German lower league since his debut in 2014.

The 23-year-old is being touted as Bayern’s ideal successor to Robert Lewandowski. He has 22 goals in 28 games for Bayern Munich II and has been capped by Jupp Henckeys in the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal
