Bawku goes gay over Stars' victory

Bawku (U/E), June 22, GNA- Bawku went into a frenzy as most of the residents celebrated the national team, the Black Stars' 2-1 victory over the United States of America in the ongoing World Cup. Within a few minutes after the game, both the aged and the youth, including females occupied the streets to display their rare antics with motorbikes and cars.

For once, feuding parties in the ethnic conflicts put aside their differences and joined forces together to parade across their strongholds, which hitherto were no go areas for them, singing and drumming all along.

The Municipal Chief Executive, together with other top personalities including police personnel could not restrain themselves as they joined in the celebration, only making sure that there were no fatal incidents to mar the day.

Pupils and teachers in the afternoon shift abandoned their classrooms and joined the celebration train, waving miniature flags of Ghana and chanting, "Ghana is the best" in order not to be left out in the jubilation tale.

Most people interviewed believed that the team had the capability to even beat Brazil at the next stage to prove to the world that Ghana was a soccer powerhouse in the world.
