Bastie Samir wins PBC Light Heavyweight title on Boxing Day

Ghana’s Bastie Samir made sure Ghanaian boxing fans ended the year 2019 with a smile when he went all out to stop Nigerian opponent Sunday Ajuwa in round 2.

Fighting on the Box Office Promotions Bill dubbed Bliss on the Hill in Abetifi, Kwahu, Bastie lived up to expectation and hoped this victory is going to open a new chapter in his career to win more belts and especially the world title.

After a thrilling round one with Bastie on top and Ajuwa taking to clinching, the Ghanaian thought it wise to end the bout early, which resulted in the corner of Ajuwa throwing in the towel.

Bastie Samir weighed at 176.2lbs, while Sunday Ajuwa stood at 181.2lbs at the weigh in for the PBC Intercontinental Light-Heavyweight title belt, but he was never bothered about the difference in weight.

He went out to please the fans and won in style.

The new PBC light heavyweight champ, Bastie Samir’s hand was raised aloft by referee May Akakpo.

In other fights on the bill, hot boxers like Patrick Ayi aka Alligator, Alfred Lamptey aka Bukom Bomber, Emmanuel Danso aka Kwahu Mike Tyson, Sherif Quaye, Maxwell Awuku, Alfred Quaye and rising star Sampson Sagbedzi all won.

The Bliss On The Hills Boxing Night 2 in Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region was very successful.
